! North Dakota Benefits Enrollment Center
Project Description:
The North Dakota Benefits Enrollment Center (ND BEC) will use a person-center approach to guide consumers through a benefits assessment. Staff will focus on those receiving Medicare 60+ years of age, specifically those with a limited income who would qualify for other benefits like heating assistance, food stamps (SNAP), Medicaid, Medicare Savings Program, and/or, Medicare Part D Extra Help (for low-income subsidy). Our target population would be any ND citizen who is 60 years old and over. While the project will begin its focus in the northwest area of the state, it will expand to cover the entire state over the 18 months of the funding. This will be done using partnership agencies and organizations making referrals to the center.
