SMI Mental Health and Intellectual Developmental Disabilities National Training Center
Project Description:
The University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at the University of Kentucky, University of Alaska, and Utah State University are collaborating to launch a Mental Health and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (MHIDD) National Training Center. The three year, two million dollar project, funded by the Administration for Community Living (ACL), will offer training opportunities for people with disabilities, family members, direct service providers, mental health professionals and healthcare professionals in order to provide quality mental health services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The MHIDD National Training Center will offer an extensive online training portal, in-person trainings at major conferences, Project ECHO virtual trainings, and an on-site leadership institute for other UCEDD staff and trainees. Continuing Education Units and Continuing Medical Education credits will be available.
