Project Description:
NCAPPS is a new initiative from the Administration for Community Living and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to help States, Tribes, and Territories to implement person-centered practices.The goal of NCAPPS is to promote systems change that makes person-centered principles not just an aspiration but a reality in the lives of people who require services and supports across the lifespan. NCAPPS assists States, Tribes, and Territories to transform their service and support systems to implement U.S. Department of Health and Human Services policy on person-centered thinking, planning, and practice through an array of technical assistance efforts. The Georgetown University National Center for Cultural Competence has a sub-contract to l assist the NCAPPS team to embed cultural and linguistic competence in its technical assistance efforts via webinars, direct TA to states, territories, and tribes, and reviewing and creating materials/resources.
