Fiscal Year:
2019
Contact Information:
Project Description:
SPARK aims to build a research community of tens of thousands of individuals with autism and their families, who will be asked to share medical and genetic information with scientists and to agree to be contacted about future research studies. The data shared with SPARK researchers will power important new autism research that aims to advance the understanding of autism and provide meaningful information and resources to participants. The RFK UCEDD/LEND under the leadership of Dr. Lisa Shulman, will lead a study that will enroll n=600 persons with autism family members from schools and health organizations in the Bronx and surrounding communities. Participants will complete a series of on-line surveys and contribute samples. Our site is one fo 20 medical centers participating in the study nationwide.
