Strengthening Outcomes for All Learners in Inclusive Settings (SOARS)
Project Description:
The KU SOARS personnel preparation program is designed to prepare minimally 42 scholars in the area of low-incidence inclusive education. Scholars will earn a Masters of Science in Education and endorsement in low-incidence special education as part of a 2-year (full-time) or 3-year (part-time) program. KU SOARS scholars will develop: (a) content knowledge of evidence-based practices and procedures used to support positive student outcomes; (b) experience implementing inclusive strategies and approaches; (c) skills and experience advocating for and advancing inclusive practices; and (d) an understanding of the activities and dispositions required to be successful as educators and advocates for inclusive practices.
