Project Description:
The Indiana Institute on Disability and Community (IIDC), Indianas University Center for Excellence on Disabilities, is committed to providing Hoosiers with disability-related information and services that touch the entire life span, from birth through older adulthood. The mission of the Center on Community Living and Careers (CCLC), one of six centers comprising the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, is to promote partnerships between schools and support organizations to bring about positive changes in the lives of individuals and families as they live, work, and participate in their communities. Through our longstanding partnership with the Indiana Bureau of Rehabilitation Services (BRS), CCLC has provided training, technical assistance and support to the BRS, the Vocational Rehabilitation Staff and community rehabilitation providers. CCLC proposes to build upon the current work by achieving the following objectives and deliverables for contract period of June 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020. 1. Assist BRS in meeting federal requirements regarding compliance with the Federal Comprehensive System of Personnel Development (CSPD), the Comprehensive Statewide Needs Assessment (CSNA), and/or other related assessment and training needs 2. Obtain feedback, update and maintain content for the Orientation Courses in the Vocational Rehabilitation Leadership Academy 3. Obtain feedback, update and maintain content for the Core Courses in the Vocational Rehabilitation Leadership Academy 4. Revise and develop content for Specialty Courses in the Vocational Rehabilitation Leadership Academy 5. Continue to develop BRS Supervisory/Leadership Trainings and guest speakers 6. Update Vocational Rehabilitation Services provider pick list 7. Coordinate training and logistics for the 1-day BRS Symposium 8. Product development 9. Other add-ons as requested
