Project Description:
There is a need for quality early childhood programs for children at developmental risk to promote school success. The overarching goal of ECI is to foster preschool and school success for children of poverty to decrease the rate of school failure. Research conducted on this model is a longitudinal evaluation of the efficacy and success of intensive quality mentoring on the capacity of all types of early care and education programs to promote developmental, behavioral, and early school success for chilren in high-risk environments and foster parent participation, and innoative interagency partnerships ina systems reform effort.
