Project Description:
The Autism Delta Project is a collaboration headed by Partners for Inclusive Communities, the Arkansas Autism Resource and Outreach Center, UAMS East of Helena-West Helena Arkansas and community members. Monthly task force meetings are held at the UAMS East Campus. The focus of the task force is to address the need for early identification, diagnosis and intervention for children with suspected autism spectrum disorders in the undeserved communities located near the Phillips County Arkansas area. Along with monthly task force meetings, monthly family training are held for the community members. All training sessions are being filmed in order to discriminate the information to families and community members. The project has developed a resource library that is available to families and community members on site.
