Project Description:

The UConn UCEDD will work with CREC Instructional Coaches on how to provide professional development designed to promote adult learning and talk with teachers about how to implement the Pyramid Model. To achieve this goal, UConn UCEDD will: Provide seven 3-hour professional development sessions: 1. Session 1: Adult learning principles & Developing presentation materials. 2. Session 2: Introducing the CT Pyramid Implementation Model to teachers. 3. Session 3: Talking to teachers about CT Pyramid Implementation Model, Tier 1: Relationships. 4. Session 4: Talking to teachers about CT Pyramid Implementation Model, Tier 2: Environments. 5. Session 5: Talking to teachers about CT Pyramid Implementation Model, Tier 3: Targeted Teaching. 6. Session 6: Talking to teachers about CT Pyramid Implementation Model, Tier 4: Individualized Supports. 7. Session 7: Having difficult conversations.
