Project Description:
GOALS: Evaluate smoking cessation program (LIFT) with people with disabilities and their caregivers in Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati, Ohio;Evaluate effectiveness of smoking cessation program (LIFT) for people with disabilities and their caregivers;Determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the dyad-based tobacco intervention program
Nine primary outcomes will be evaluated for the proposed evaluation:
1. Participants knowledge regarding harmful effects of smoking
2. Participants attitudes and self-efficacy for cessation
3. Participants identification of strategies for achieving and maintaining cessation
4. Participants stress levels
5. Participants carbon monoxide (CO) levels
6. Smoking cessation rates
7. Overall smoking rates
8. Participants perceptions about accessibility for the LIFT program
9. Qualitative data
