Iowa Association for Supported Employment Contract
Iowa APSE is a membership organization committed to expanding community employment for people. Their mission is to change beliefs, practices, systems and funding and so that employment in the general workforce is the first and preferred outcome in the provision of publicly funded services for all working age Iowans with disabilities, regardless of level of disability. Training job coaches and job developers is critical to reaching this goal. Iowas UCEDD has entered into a contract to provide structure, support, trainers and capacity-building for additional trainers for this organization.
Overall goals and objectives include:
Coordination of training activities (Foundations, job development and job coaching)
Maintain registry of ACRE Certification and notify ACRE of people completing requirements
Maintain training equipment, materials and props.
Support Iowa APSE Conference Committee/Board
Provide lead trainer to facilitate the training and support training committee in curriculum revision.
