Star Plus: Promoting Quality Improvement for Family Child Care Providers in QRIS

Project Description:

Star Plus is a collaborative initiative with the University of Delaware that focuses on improving the quality of care for young children in family care homes. 60 homes from certified family care homes for Type II child care centers will be selected for participation in Year 1. Each home will be participating in KY's STARS quality rating system. Staff from the centers will participate in the development of protocols to measure quality indicators; subsequent year activities will include establishing the reliability and training on the project-developed instrument.
