Project Description:
The GUCCHD provides psychological and physical therapy services to identify and support infants, toddlers, and young children at risk for and with developmental delays and disabilities in this Early Head Start/ Head Start program for children who are homeless. BBIs Multidisciplinary Team, comprised of the two GU-UCEDD faculty members along with a speech and language pathologist and an occupational therapist, supported children and teachers, held formal consultation meetings with teachers in each class on a rotating basis every three weeks, consulted with home visitors, met with parents and made referrals to early intervention, the public school system, mental health treatment and legal services.
