Craniofacial Patients: Adherence and Barriers

Center:
Fiscal Year:
2018
Contact Information:
Project Description:
The management of craniofacial patients, which includes cleft lip/palate, involves numerous surgeries, a multidisciplinary team and coordinated care that can potentially last from birth through early adulthood. Longitudinal care of this kind requires strong adherence, but also presents barriers. In a retrospective chart review for Craniofacial Team patients seen from 1/1/2010 to 7/31/2015, we plan to document patient demographics, craniofacial team findings, identified barriers, outcomes of failed recommendations, and steps by team members to assist with recommendations. Data entry and analysis will be performed using SPSS using statistics for descriptives, correlations, and group differences.
