Needs Assessment: Sexual Behavioral Problems

Fiscal Year:

Project Description:
Currently, there is a paucity of information on screenings and treatment approaches for working with children with sexual behavioral problems (SBPs). Mental health clinicians are not necessarily trained or supervised in this area. We hypothesized that in our UCEDD mental health clinic, clinicians working within a trauma focus framework are more likely to be successful at identifying and treating children with SBPs. Therefore, our objective is to survey all of our MH clinicians to determine whether additional training and supervision in this area is needed. After the survey is completed, all of the MH clinicians at the UCEDD will be invited to comprehensive training in this area.
