Project Description:
The Teen club is a program designed for teenagers, ages 14 to 16 with a clinical diagnosis of ASD documented in their records. This pilot study aims to collect preliminary data and assess the effectiveness of the Teen Club social group by collecting data using the Social Responsiveness Scale-2 and the Teen Club Assessment Scenarios. The data will be collected at baseline, 6 months and 12 months. Parents will complete the SRS2 at baseline, 6 months and 12 months. The Teen Club Assessment Scenarios is currently collected for clinical purposes and will be conducted by the PCDA trained therapists. The scoring of the Teen Club Scenarios at enrollment, 6 and 12 months will be conducted by the CHLA research team. Additionally, demographic data will be obtained at enrollment. Descriptive statistics will be conducted as well as T-Test or similar test based on the distribution of the data collected.
