Project Description:
Provide Work Incentive Planning and Assistance services for 100 Alaskan SSI/SSDI beneficiaries per year.
Provide single point of entry for all inquiries, screening, and information and referral.
Provide initial benefit analyses and assistance to develop a benefit management plan using available work incentives
Provide follow-up and support activities with at least quarterly contact with beneficiaries to monitor and assist with implementation of their benefit plan
Provide additional assistance as required to make modifications or amendments to the benefit plan, use of work incentives, etc
Collaborate with PMRO to increase awareness & knowledge about federal & state work incentives.
Conduct outreach and training activities for communities, beneficiaries, and Vocational Rehabilitation, Employment Networks, and all other Work Force Development partners as specified by PMRO to provide scenario specific descriptions of available work incentives and their application
Conduct outreach activities to school districts targeting transition-to-work age youth (age 14 and above).
Conduct outreach activities to Alaska Native beneficiaries through Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation Programs & Native Corporations.
Collaborate with Disability Program Navigators to conduct outreach activities to beneficiaries through One-Stop Career Centers and Job Centers and other Work Force Development components.
Conduct outreach activities with community rehabilitation programs, mental health centers, family support projects, parent training centers, independent living centers, churches, libraries, and other interested entities.
Maintain website with information for beneficiaries, families, & service providers
Develop and implement a Quality Assurance program to ensure services are available and effective.
Maintain a pool of available CWICs who can provide WIPA services to beneficiaries.
Collaborate with the Alaska Works Initiative to provide SSA required training in Alaska at least once annually for prospective individuals who want to provide contract services for the Alaska WIPA Project and/or DVR
CWICs will complete SSA required training and certification requirements prior to delivering services for Alaska WIPA or DVR.
Provide follow-up training for CWICs as necessary or available.
Collect, analyze, and report specified data to SSA for all WIPA program participants.
Collect initial core data set at point of entry to program including demographic, prior work history, and earnings information.
Maintain core data on SSA specified national data base.
Collect anecdotal data summary during each follow up contact.
Submit budget and program reports in a timely fashion.
