Project Description:
This project is a one-year partnership between the USC University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and the South Central Los Angeles Regional Center (SCLARC), funded by the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Through this initiative, 10 Early Start vendor programs will receive individualized training and consultation, with a focus on developing best practices in the early intervention field, strategies to serve dual language learners and monolingual Spanish-speaking children and families, and the impact of culture on attachment and social-emotional development. Strategies for training will include group trainings and consultation and/or reflective facilitation sessions tailored to each participating agency.
