Need: What need does the project fill?
The Center for Leadership in Disability holds many trainings, conferences, lecture series and other events benefitting the State of Georgia and the disability community. In order to ensure that our work has the widest impact possible, we are investing in increasing our social media presence.
Overall goals and objectives: What are the main outcomes related to the project?
The goal is to increase the reach of our work to a large number of people regionally, nationally, and globally via selective use of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, etc).
Unusual features: What makes this project unique?
The social media project allows various faculty, staff and other students are allowed to promote relevant information related to training, conferences, Georgia LEND meetings, advisory council meetings and other special events such as the annual statewide Autism Conference and Exposition of Georgia.
Expected benefits: How will this project help people?
This project increases the impact of the CLDs work by boosting awareness of our events, promoting our research products, and distributing critical information aiding the work of self-advocates, caretakers, and professionals that share in the CLDs mission.
