One Nutrition Ambassador will be selected from the state of Mississippi Nutrition Ambassadors will select up to five (5) Deputy Ambassadors and up to five (5) Nutrition Advocates from their state upon review and approval of their proposed work plan Nutrition Ambassadors are required to attend a nine (9) hour orientation at the AUCD central office in August Nutrition Ambassadors will create a state level work plan to implement the nutrition education trainings in their state Nutrition Ambassadors will be responsible for conducting five (5) events in their state to recruit participants for the nutrition education training. These events may be facilitated through in-person events or creative partnerships. It is expected that these events will reach an estimated total of 2,000 participants. Nutrition Ambassadors will be responsible for conducting five (5) leadership and nutrition education trainings in their state for PWD, either through in-person events or creative partnerships. It is expected that these events will reach an estimated total of 500 participants. Nutrition Ambassadors will be responsible for conducting five (5) trainings on nutrition education for family members and friends of PWD, either through in-person events or creative partnerships. It is expected that these events will reach an estimated total of 1,500 participants. Ambassadors will collect data to show how the nutrition training intervention supports behavior change, and the increase of fruit and vegetable consumption for PWD over time
