STARS PLUS: Promoting Quality Improvement for Family Child Care Providers in QRIS Using a Community of Practice Model
Project Description:
The final three years of the grant will focus on data collection. This will include observation with approved instrument(s) following protocol established by UD. Data collection will be completed in the 20 family child care homes located in a rural and urban area of the state. Collection will be conducted every six months in each home. Information will be sent to UD for analysis. Providers who participate in year 2-4 data observational data collection will receive a $25 incentive per observation.
During these years, information and resources will be shared with the family child cares home that will focus on raising quality and forming communities of practice. Two Communities of Practice will be formed, one urban and one central KY area. These will be modeled after the Communities of Practice already formed in Delaware. Content shared will be developed in conjunction with UD.
