Fiscal Year:

Contact Information:
Project Description:
The Scottish Rite Masons support services for children with speech and language disorders. MMI provides these services through RiteCare clinics in Omaha, Lincoln, Hastings and Alliance, Nebraska. In addition to providing services to children identified in their local community, this network of clinics allows children with special needs seen at MMI to be referred for services across Nebraska. Services provided are primarily for preschool or early school aged children in individual sessions or model preschool groups. Services are coordinated with area school districts. Speech Pathology students from UNO, UNL, and UNK obtain practicum training at the RiteCare clinics. RiteCare staff also provide technical assistance to teachers, parents and speech pathologists in the areas of autism, apraxia, augmentative communication, motor speech disorders and feeding and swallowing disorders in children.
