Project Description:
The University of Miami Debbie Institute's B2 Early Education Program serves eighty (80) children with developmental disabilities from birth through three years of age in inclusive classrooms with their typically developing peers. The program includes six inclusion classrooms and one self-contained classroom for children with more severe disabilites. Center based services are provided for sixty-two (62) children and home based services are provided for eighteen (18) children. The goal of the program is to provide young children with disabilities with the opportunity to access the curriculum with their typically developing peers. This is accomplished with the use of consultative therapy in the classrooms and up to date assistive technology.
