Olmstead Law Tours

Fiscal Year:

Contact Information:
Project Description:
Through colloquia presentations, exhibits, meetings with people with disabilities, and small group discussions with professors and law students, we will shape how students view segregated living and the impact they individually and collectively can make. Over 500 law students and professors across the country will attend the law school tour. Pre/post surveys will indicate that they had increased knowledge of social justice and segregation issues impacting people with disabilities. They will also indicate increased skill levels on how to facilitate advocacy cases in the future. Long-term follow-up of a sample group of students will indicate that they represented advocacy or civil right cases involving people with disabilities through either pro-bono work or through choosing Social Justice Law (or something similar) as their specialty.
