The scope of the project for the Iowa Department of Education is to support the redesign of the statewide Family & Educator Partnership (FEP) program across the state. This program is critical in the state of Iowa as it helps families and educators navigate and collaborate on the IEP process, supports, and services that children in Special Education depend. My role is to facilitate the Oversight Committee of the Family & Educator Partnership (FEP) which include the following tasks: 1. Finalize decisions of the Design Team 2. Ensure the first year of transition of the FEP is implemented according to the timeline. In addition, I will participate on the Design Team which includes the following tasks: 1. Provide ideas, suggestions and recommendations for the new FEP model 2. Provide support to Oversight Committee with content knowledge and 3. Ensure that work of the task teams align with the design model. Then expected benefit of my work is to provide an efficient and effective roll out of the FEP program across the state.
