Project Description:
Dr. Mary Beth Bruder, as part of a subcontract from the University of North Carolinas Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute, will support the development of online modules and supports for faculty/Institute of Higher Education (IHE) with teaching and integrating Division of Early Childhood (DEC) Recommended Practices (RPs) content into their current coursework. Dr. Bruder's key activities include: 1.Ensure the coordination and alignment between the RPs modules development and the work of the Early Childhood Personnel Center (ECPC). 2.Participate as national experts and IHE/faculty partners to guide the development process and ensure the quality and usefulness of the online modules. This will include regular calls to provide input on the design of the modules and supports as well as periodic opportunities for written feedback on draft modules and supports. 3.Identify existing RP resources to ensure the project is building on existing resources and not duplicating effort. 4.Recommend and support the dissemination of the RP modules to IHE faculty as well as in service providers. 5.Support informative and summative evaluation measures to ensure the quality and usefulness of the products and to measure changes in knowledge and practices for module users.
