TRIAD Community/Organizational Engagement Program

        Project Description:
The core of our Community Engagement Initiative is the Families First Program, which provides behavioral strategies to caregivers of young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As an extension of Families First, TRIAD began the Organizational Engagement Program in 2013. This program focuses on supporting organizations in building capacity for inclusion of individuals with ASD. TRIAD has had over 2,500 attend Families First Workshops and over 100 providers received training through the Organizational Engagement Program. During the 2014 fiscal year, over 900 people attended 11 different modified events hosted by TRIADs community partners.
The goal of the initiative is to create understanding and awareness of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) across the community by educating families and developing collaborative partnerships with education and arts programs. The community partnerships allow us to focus on community inclusion by providing professional development and resource development to bolster community accessibility for families of individuals with ASD.
