Project Description:
The main goal of this research study is to establish the current level and types of pre-employment and employment services provided and available to individuals with disabilities in ND and the employment outcomes of those services by replicating the baseline survey conducted in September of 2012. Comparison of both survey outcomes will be analyzed to determine current levels of employment and employment supports provided in ND and changes in community integrated employment outcomes.
The data are intended to be useful to help ND address some of the following questions: How can employment opportunities increase, including community-based, integrated employment, at competitive wages for persons with disabilities? What are the barriers to employment for people with disabilities in North Dakota?
This project will replicate the 2012 survey. Services include: a) facilitate meeting discussions regarding content for current survey, b) review and update the existent survey, c) complete IRB application process, d) train CRPs staff in the data entry process to fill out the surveys, e) make the survey available to participants, f) provide a facilitator to assist during data collection, g) analyze data and create a PowerPoint presentation and draft written report, h) facilitate ending meetings to review data, and i) develop a final report of the new findings and 2012/2015 comparisons.
What is currently working to successfully employ individuals with disabilities (including various employment outcomes)?
