Project Description:
The mission of the Florida School Climate Transformation Grant (FCT) is to increase the capacity of districts in the state of Florida to address problem behavior through the use of Positive Behavior Support. Florida FCT also aims to: (1) facilitate integration of mental health supports to youth and their families, (2) increase the implementation, and fidelity of PBIS across districts, schools, and settings, (3) increase positive behavioral outcomes for students by focusing on training on all three tiers of support, classroom PBIS, and the extension of PBIS to early childhood settings as well as disproportionality, culturally responsive instructional practices and drop-out prevention (4) expanding the capacity of LEAs to support sustained implementation of PBIS by directing efforts towards disseminating training materials and train-the-trainer programs, and (5) increasing the capacity of SEA to support sustained implementation of PBIS.
