Project Description:
The Mailman Center receives income from several endowment funds that support the operations, serve as matching funds for grants, and permit investment in both capital and program development. These include the W. Alton Jones Mailman Endowment Fund ($1,199,059), The Child Development Fund ($965,222), the AL and JL Mailman Endowment Fund ($4,952,716), The Charlotte & Anna Gross Memorial Fund ($397,830), The Harold Smith Mailman Center Endowment Fund ($2,280,862), The Weeks Endowment ($5,000,000). The annual distribution from these endowments for FY16 was approximately $2,053,505. There are three other smaller donor gifts that provide annual distributions but are not held by the University- The Applebaum Foundation ($75,000 per year), The Taplan Foundation ($25,000), and the Weil Foundation Charitable Trust ($23,000). The total annual for FY16 for these accounts was $2,176,505.
