Bridge Builder/ Community Connector Project Evaluation
Project Description:
IDHD was contracted by the Center for Independent Futures to evaluate three sets of outcomes:
1. Individuals with disabilities outcomes:
a. Identify interests in mainstream community activities
b. Introduction to and access to mainstream community activities
c. Participate in mainstream community activities with Bridge Builder and others community members
Evaluation method:
Exit interviews with individuals with disabilities
Interview questions will focus on the outcomes above
Interviews will be analyzed using open coding and themes will be identified
2. Bridge Builder outcomes
a. Engage community organizations and their volunteers as Bridge Builders
b. Build foundational understanding and skills regarding people-first language, ability awareness, HIPPA, self-advocacy, community engagement and information regarding disabilities.
c. Increase relationship building skills with individuals with disabilities and facilitation of individuals participation in mainstream activities of mutual interests

a. Development of training video
b. Creation of a Process and Implementation Guide
