Project Description:
ArkSTART Program just joined the UCEDD beginning June 1, 2016. ArkSTART is Arkansas implementation of the national START model developed at the Institute on Disability (IOD) at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). START stands for Systematic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resources and Treatment (START) and is an evidence-based model that employs a person-centered, solution-focused positive approach to improve the lives of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health needs and their families. ArkSTART will contribute to a national data system called START Information Reporting System along with eight other sites in the country.
