Project Description:
4.01 Dissemination Strategies Utilize the Center's website, electronic newsletters and social networking strategies, and Center publications and presentations, to disseminate activities, findings, information, and products. The CDD website is the primary tool for disseminating information. The website provides access to information about all of the CDD's projects, activities, products as well as events. The website is updated weekly and is 508 compliant. The website also houses a web-based comprehensive list of statewide resources and community services available to individuals with disabilities and their families. It functions as a web-based collaborative tool, much like the popular Wikipedia. The CDD is also engaged in social networking strategies to build communication avenues to further information dissemination efforts. FY 2016 *CDD WEBSITE* The CDD website has had over 140,000 site visits and 60,00 sessions in Year 1 (Obj. 4.1). Individual CDD project websites accumulated over 107,000 unique site visits. Over 43,000 site visits were from new users and over 53,000 were from returning users. *CDD SOCIAL MEDIA* Number of individuals who "Liked" the page(s)= 866 Number of total "likes" (interaction) = 1,766 Total Number of unique users: 86,874 Number of post views = 92,293 Number of total "shares" and "comments" (interaction)= 3,078 Video Views = 14,437 Number of impressions = 84,810 *Directory of Community Resources* The DCR included 3,219 resources and had over 29,220 site visits. *CDD MONTHLY NEWSLETTER* The CDD newsletter is sent monthly to over 900 subscribers and the Institute for Person-Centered Practices has accumulated over 600 subscribers to their network newsletter. A total of 18 articles have been published in the AUCD 360 national newsletter in Year 1. Approximately sixty-seven University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEED), forty-three Leadership Education in Neurodevelopment Disabilities (LEND), and fifteen Intellectual and Developmental Disability Research Centers (IDDRC) subscribe to the AUCD 360 newsletter. As part of our information dissemination efforts, the CDD maintains a focus on disseminating research and best practices to the community at large. Center staff actively disseminate the Center's work through publications and presentations. This goal will capture the work of Center staff and affiliates annually. Benefits of this goal will include awareness of Center activities as well as utilization of Center research and community services.
