Project Description:
The University of Illinois (UIC) Assistive Technology Unit (ATU) provides assistive technology services to individuals with disabilities served by the Illinois Department of Human Services - Division of Rehabilitation Services - Bureau of Field Services. UIC ATU provides services in the areas of activities of daily living, adaptive equipment/rehabilitation engineering, augmentative communication, computer access, environmental control, home modification, mobility, seating, and worksite modification. For this project, UIC ATU will consult with the leadership of the Illinois Center for Rehabilitation and Education - Roosevelt (ICRE/R) facility regarding the development of a Business Training Center (four classrooms identified).
