UIC UCEDD Diversity Fellowship Program
Project Description:
The UIC UCEDD Diversity Fellowship Program will sponsor two fellows who identify with at least one of the following categories defined by AIDD: Individuals from racial and ethnic minority backgrounds, individuals with limited English proficiency, individuals from underserved geographic areas (rural or urban), different disabilities, and lesbian, gay, transgender. This one-year mentorship program will support the fellows in developing leadership skills through didactic instruction, a diversity related capstone project, a management immersion experience, learning about disability legislation and legislative policy skills, and participation in an AUCD coordinated national forum for knowledge exchange and transfer across the UCEDD network.
