Leadership Institute For People With DIsabilities Pilot Evaluation Pahse 1
Project Description:
As part of the Chicago ADA25 Legacy initiatives, a pilot Leadership Institute will be held December 3-6, 2015 geared to people with disabilities to prepare them for significant leadership positions on boards, commissions, and other civic and organizational leadership roles. The training will include 15 to 24 participants. It aims to create a community of people who can support each other after the training. As a follow-up to the Leadership Institute, there will be a sustained effort to place individuals with disabilities who have gone through the Leadership Institute on prominent boards, commissions, civic appointments and in professional positions.
