Utilizing Computer Vision Technology for Cross-Cultural Developmental Screening in Early Childhood. MnDrive Exploratory Grant. Co-investigator (Suma Jacob, PI). $50,000, 1/1/2015-12/31/2016.The long term goals of this project are to 1) modify existing and create new developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive tasks for children aged 0-3 years that provide indirect metrics of healthy brain development, 2) decrease the reliance on English-dependent evaluations to identify atypical development, and 3) utilize technology that is easily accessible for screening within community settings to improve efforts to identify and intervene with children at risk for atypical cognitive development.
