Project Description:
The primary project goal is to increase parental developmental monitoring and early developmental screening in diverse communities. With this funding opportunity, this project plans to increase and integrate parent led developmental monitoring in diverse communities. Our aim is to develop parent community leaders in diverse communities to engage families around the importance of regular parent developmental monitoring, early developmental screening, and early identification of developmental delays and disabilities such as ASD. The project will implement a parent-to-parent training model to conduct outreach and education with other parents around developmental monitoring. Effective models of parent-to-parent outreach and Act Early developmental monitoring materials/resources will be used to educate parent delegates on outreach around parent developmental monitoring.
