Project Description:
The purpose of this MOA is to conduct an item to item crosswalk between all sub-tests and items of the Brigance IED-III (2013) Early Childhood Edition with the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards, birth through age five (CT-ELDS). An item by item crosswalk and analysis of the specific sub-tests of the Brigance IED-III Early Childhood Edition with the Connecticut Early Learning Standards will be conducted and will yield a crosswalk that has agreed upon items. A typed color-coded crosswalk of will be provided to the CSBE.
UCHC will plan and deliver two statewide trainings for early childhood special education personnel on the Pyramid Model of promoting the positive social-emotional development of young children and addressing challenging behaviors that result in suspension and expulsion. Planning includes flyers for advertisement, registration, and procurement of national speakers, conference space and other. UCHC will also develop and deliver a Community of Practice for a small number of school district staff that deliver special education and related services to children 3 through 5 with disabilities. The Community of Practice will be focused on the Pyramid Model and fidelity of implementation across district programs serving children 3 through 5 with disabilities.
