For the past eight years, the Sherlock Center has had a contract from the Office of Rehabilitation Services to provide a variety of employment related training. This contract continues this partnership into 2010. There are three major goals: OBJECTIVE I - IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF COMMUNITY REHABILITATION PROGRAM (CRP) EMPLOYMENT ROVIDERS WHICH WILL LEAD TO AN INCREASE IN HIGH QUALITY COMPETITIVE INTEGRATED, CAREER-ORIENTED EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES This includes providing training to ORS staff and to community rehabilitation providers. OBJECTIVE II ? DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A PUBLIC EDUCATION AND OUTREACH PROGRAM FOR THE VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICES AND SUPPODRTED EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS. The Sherlock Center to coordinate a statewide employment conferences in 2008 and 2010 and to coordinate an Employer Honor Roll in 2009. OBJECTIVE III ? ASSIST ORS WITH DEVELOPMENT, DISPERSEMENT, MONITORING, AND ANALYSIS OF RESULTS OF A COMPREHENSIVE, STATEWIDE NEEDS ASSESSMENT FOR VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION AND ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS THAT MEETS THE REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS AT 34CFR 361.29 The Sherlock Center will assist ORS in designing a needs assessment, collecting information, analyzing information.
