Project Description:
The Wyoming Corporate Partnership Project seeks to integrate the resource needs of businesses into the state's network of service provision to increase the likelihood that residents with significant disabilities will acquire quality jobs. Working closely with the Wyoming Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Wyoming Business Leadership Network, this initiative provides training workshops for service providers and disability advocacy groups in developing person-centered vocational plans. It also offers technical assistance to community businesses in linking their resource needs to career interests expressed by community residents with disabilities. Project work also includes the formation of a permanent organization comprised of service providers, persons with disabilities and businesses to examine ongoing employment issues in the community and to sustain project work after federal funds have expired.
