Project Description:
The overarching purpose of the Alaska TBI Project is to enhance the ability to identify and serve individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury. The Alaska TBI Project has established four main goals to achieve during the next four years: 1) Increase TBI survivor access to timely and accurate TBI information at points of initial contact; 2) Increase workforce knowledge and capacity to serve individuals with TBI through the development of a comprehensive and sustainable system of training which leads to core competencies and linkage to TBI survivors; 3) Increase identification of TBI survivors through screening, with results centralized for program planning and evaluation; and 4) Increase access to quality services for individuals with TBI through a seamless and collaborative system that is person-centered, maximizing the individuals ability to achieve optimal living.
