        Project Description:
This project assists the State in identifying and researching creative solutions to alleviate the housing shortage to make transitions possible in support of the Money Follows the Person grant. The Money Follows the Person (MFP) Housing Program project goals include:
1.	To develop and maintain an effective, consumer-directed, accessible and comprehensive housing resource system for persons wishing to transition to the community from an institutional level of care and for persons at risk of institutionalization, thereby increasing the numbers of persons who have access to quality and affordable supportive housing services in the community.
2.	To effectively reduce the stigma of persons with disabilities or the aging population statewide, while working to change community attitudes and misconceptions regarding community housing for persons with disabilities or aging persons thus providing a more welcoming environment for the disability or aging populations who reside in North Dakota neighborhoods.
3.	To assist in the statewide effort to develop and expand the number of safe, affordable, accessible, quality and permanent housing options.
The MFP staff will consist of a State Housing Facilitator and Project Secretary located within NDCPD on the Minot State University campus in Minot, and four Consumer Resource Housing Specialists located in the four regions of the state that are consistent with the Centers for Independent Living; Minot, Grand Forks, Fargo and Bismarck.
