Inter-professional Team Home Visit Program
Project Description:
DDI is collaborating with the Wayne State University School
of Medicine to train medical students to improve their
ability to understand the unique needs of families who have
children with disabilities. Families of children with developmental disabilities who reside in Wayne County Michigan are asked to participate in home visits conducted by WSU School of Medicine students. The project seeks to inform medical students as to the unique and often complex medical needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
