CDC "Learn the Signs. Act Early." Ambassador to Massachusetts 2014-2016
Project Description:
The 2014-2016 CDC Act Early Ambassador to Massachusetts reaapointment is the part of the 4th cohort of the CDC "Learn the Signs. Act Early." public health campaign. The MA Act Early Ambassador will serve as the state point-of-contact for the national LTSAE program over the two-year period . The Act Early Ambassador role is an extension of the state team leader's role and supports the work of the MA Act Early state team to improve early identification of developmental delays and ASD/DD. In addition to overseeing state team activities and planning efforts with our Steering Committee, the state team leader advises three task forces and oversees related grant-funded projects. State goals are focused on on outreach, training and early identification with a special emphasis on region, culture and language to build a foundation of sustainable projects. The Ambassador receives technical assistance and training, information, and networking from national partners, such as the CDC, AUCD and AMCHP. The state ambassador presents the LTSAE program and related projects locally, regionally and nationally.
