Project Description:

The Can Do Committee, initiated through Partners for Inclusive Communities Consumer Committee, is a collaborative group of individuals with disabilities, family members, and representatives from 16 agencies and organizations. The purpose is "To conduct a statewide multimedia campaign to increase the positive perceptions of all people regarding the vitality, importance and value of persons with disabilities." The theme of the campaign is "Believe Achieve." Products include 2 posters, a display, workshop, and brochure. Public Service Announcements (PSAs) are currently (March/April 2003)being filmed and will be aired on TV stations across Arkansas. The committee activities are funded through in-kind contibutions as well as small grants received by participating organizations.
