Project Description:
The GPC has identified "livable communities" as an important strategic approach to the creation of places that support physical, mental, social and spiritual well being for people of all ages and abilities. IIDC has been actively engaged in research and community development around the concept of livability and aging for several years and seeks to extend its work to touch the lives of people with all abilities across Indiana. To that end, a contractual partnership between GPC & IIDC will move research and community development forward across Indiana in a broader, more far reaching manner. IIDC will develop and provide leadership with the Council for multiple educational, social marketing, training and community development objectives related to the goal of making Indiana cities and towns more livable for all ages and abilities.
