Project Description:

UCEDD has played a state leadership role in the implementation of Part C/IDEA. Dr. Poulsen has a Governor's appointment to the California Interagency Coordinating Council where she serves as chair of the Executive Committee. The Council advises the Department of Developmental Services and provides oversight to the annual @$50,000,000 coming from federal funds to support the State Performance Plan. The Council has reviewed and endorsed the development of the State Personnel Model for Early Intervention Services,and the Infant/Family Transdisciplinary and Mental Health Specialist State Endorsement. Dr. Poulsen was involved in the development of the documents as well. UCEDD has provided leadership in the early identification of developmental delays and neurodevelopmental disabilties, including autism. Dr. Wiiliams is PI on a First 5 grant
