Project Description:
Adult-Student Transition Education Program (A-STEP) is an educational initiative to provide a transition and postsecondary education program for students with intellectual disabilities (ID). Eligible students have the opportunity to achieve their goals in an inclusive and supportive college environment at Minot State University. The program addresses the development of: Academic skills in the individual students areas of interest; Career skills and integrated work experiences that lead to meaningful employment; Social relationships; and Independent living and self-advocacy skills. All graduates receive an A-STEP Certificate of Completion.
