Project Description:
This grant was awarded to the United Cerebral Palsy Wheels for Humanity through World Learning. The goal is to support activities to increase access to and availability of rehabilitation therapy in conflict affected countries. The goals of the project are to improve rehabilitation therapy within a variety of services delivery models and to support and strengthen physical/occupational therapy skill levels. The beginning course is designed for physical therapists currently treating adults and children with neurological disabilities. The focus will b on the components of an evaluation that are critical to goal setting and treatment planning. Participants will learn to use recently developed evaluation tools to design treatment programs that are based new research and recently developed practice guidelines for neurological rehab.
